National Social Services Conference

Tonight, the CSB was on the program for the welcome banquet at the National Social Services Conference in Chicago, IL. We shared the program with the Bill Booth Theater Company and the Metro Prep Band who brought down the house.

I'm putting pictures up on our Facebook page at the moment and then heading to bed. I'm tired!

We'll be on duty at the conference worship service in the morning as well.

Hi , I attended the Conference as an overseas delegate from Norway. I really enjoyed the chance to hear the CSB. For me, the best playing of the weekend was the postlude aftedr the sunday morning meeting. Magnificent, majestic music. Unfortunately as it wasn't announced, I dont have a clue which piece it was. Can you enlighten me ?

Major Pender - Thank you for your kind comments. I believe the piece you referred to is "Rigaudon" by Andre Campra. This is a classical organ piece that we often perform with pipe organ. But, when there is no organ available, we play all the parts.

I'm not sure where Drammen is, but the CSB is planning on being in Bergen, Norway (28 May) and Oslo, Norway (29 May) this year. Perhaps our paths will cross again very soon.
